BOTOX 100IU INJECTION belongs to a group of medications called neurotoxin drugs. BOTOX 100IU INJECTION is used in the treatment of cervical dystonia (contraction of neck muscles), Primary Axillary Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), Strabismus (a condition in which eyes do not see the same side), and Blepharospasm (uncontrolled twitching of eyelids).
BOTOX 100IU INJECTION contains Botulinum Toxin Type A, which works by blocking the neurotransmitter release of acetylcholine, which is responsible for flaccid paralysis.
BOTOX 100IU INJECTION may cause certain side effects such as neck pain, headache, upper respiratory tract infections, pain at the site of injection, skin rash and injection site reactions. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. BOTOX 100IU INJECTION will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
Do not take BOTOX 100IU INJECTION if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have lung disease, myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or motor neuropathy liver/kidney disease before starting the treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should receive BOTOX 100IU INJECTION only if recommended by the physician.
